Join us at the short film screenings, at the Festival "My Europe"!
The Initiative Group Alpbach Podgorica, in cooperation with NGO Citizens of Europe from Berlin and KIC „Budo Tomović“ is organising a two-day "My Europe" Film Festival.
Today recognised and valued across Europe, the Festival was organised for the first time in 2006 in Germany, at the initiative of the NGO Citizens of Europe. Guided by the idea that the concept of Europe far overcomes its geographical connotations, the Festival was organised in order to show different perspectives of Europe. Having in mind a wide spectrum of ideas, statements and opinions on the concept of Europe, topics of films are very different. Some of them deal with problems of migrants, poverty, terrorism, women rights and sexual orientation.
Also, the Festival is organised with the aim to promote short film production, regardless of the country of origin. So far, the films have been screened in around 20 European countries, and this year, they will be shown in Montenegro for the first time.
The films at the Festival are divided into two topics: “Politics” and “Life in Europe” and will be shown in different European languages, with English subtitles.
Both evenings, after the film screening, the audience will participate in panel discussions on the movie topics, where speakers will be prominent personalities from Montenegrin culture life.
During the first evening, panellists will be Brano Mandić, journalist and Maja Bogojević, movie critic. During the second evening, you will have the opportunity to hear Maja Raičević, women rights activist and Nikola Nikolić, writer.
The Festival will be held in the multimedia hall of the Cultural-informative Center, on 11 and 12 May at 20h.
