Two-day festival of short films "My Europe" starts in Podgorica

The two-day short film festival "My Europe" started last night in Podgorica, organised by the NGO Initiative Group Alpbach Podgorica (IGAP), in cooperation with the NGO Citizens of Europe from Berlin and the Cultural-informative Centre "Budo Tomović".

My Europe Short Film Festival

During the first night of the festival, six films of European artists were featured, on the topics concerning the problems of migrants, poverty and terrorism. The film screening was followed by the panel discussion, with the film critic Maja Bogojević and the journalist Brano Mandić, who shared with the audience their views on these issues, stressing that human beings are a huge potential, employers are the ones who need to create values, and that the competitive spirit and a lack of collegiality are the main causes of alienation.

An interesting repertoire is also prepared for the second night of the festival, where the movies from Kosovar, Dutch and German directors will be screened. The projection will be held in the multimedia hall of the Cultural-informative Centre "Budo Tomović", and will be followed by the panel discussion, with Nikola Nikolić, writer and Maja Raičević, women's rights activist.

The start is scheduled for 20:00, and admission is free. The films will be subtitled in English.
